Download Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) Stability and Reliability Refresh

It’s not often that Microsoft offers updates for software that is still in development, but the company is doing just that for the first public testing milestone of Internet Explorer 9.

Users of Internet Explorer 9 Beta, released in mid-September 2010, can boost their browsing experience up a notch with two new updates offered by the software giant.

Microsoft underlined from the get go that the new downloads are not new IE9 development builds, but that they are only designed to be installed on top of the IE9 Beta.

Following the release of IE9 Beta Build 9.0.7930.16406, users have been waiting to see whether a second Beta will follow. This has not been the case, at least for the time being.

Also, from the hints I’ve received from Microsoft, I think that it’s more likely that the IE team will go straight to IE9 Release Candidate (RC) rather than release a second Beta, per the Windows 7 and Windows Live Essentials 2011 model.

“We released a recommended update for all Internet Explorer 9 Beta customers via Windows Update (KB2448827).

“This update includes stability fixes for the beta build. It is not a new Internet Explorer 9 Beta build. Another update shipped today (KB2452648) resolves issues between the IE9 send feedback feature on 64-bit machines with Windows-Live-Essentials 11.

“These updates apply only to Internet Explorer 9 Beta,” revealed Tyson Storey, IE Program Manager.

Microsoft will be pushing both updates automatically to customers that have IE9 Beta installed.

There are quite a few, especially considering the last statistics that the company shared with the world, with more than 13 million downloads of IE9 Beta since September 15.

“Customers who have automatic updating enabled will not need to take any action because this update will be downloaded and installed automatically. Customers who have not enabled automatic updating need to check for updates and install this update manually,” Storey added.

Slow internet connection is a very common problem among advanced and beginner surfers alike. It has so polluted every part of the computer brain until such time that all the user could hear is an impatient beep, and then everything goes down. If you do not want your computer to end up that way, here are certain ways to discover the culprit and fix your slow internet connection problems without spending any penny for it:

Is your hard disk full of trash? If you answered yes, you may definitely have a slow internet connection problem now or in the near future. This is because these spam stuffs definitely count against your available hard disk space, as well as your RAM. If you are storing too much of these things in your computer, there is definitely much slow internet connection problems to expect than the ordinary scenario. Keep in mind that in order to enjoy fast internet speed, you have to keep your computers clean and tidy, which means that you should get rid of any kind of trash from your system. Do not even let them loiter inside your local drives, or even in your recycle bins-delete them immediately.

Have you been keeping too much cookies, internet files, and browsing history? You may unintentionally be doing this before you even know it, but you should know how to get rid of them. To do that, you need to go to the settings in your web browser that contains all the details in the saved cookies, passwords, search bar contents, and even browsing history files. Simply clear them, or you can also configure your browser to automatically clear it for you each time you log out. This powerful feature of your web browsers can definitely help resolve slow internet connection problems because you do not have to worry about getting trash or harmful stuffs that you might have downloaded in the internet, and the only way to prevent this from happening is to delete anything that you do not need in your system.

Is your PC infected? While there may be disk space issues that could be the most obvious problem that has resulted to slow internet connections, the most common problem is still getting your computer infected with online viruses that have the capability to disrupt or damage important system files that will slow your computer down. As viruses get into your system, they may have the power to thrive and multiply without leaving a single trace on their system activities. In fact, it is very hard for a computer to pinpoint these viruses without the help of the proper protection softwares that will resolve your slow internet connection problems caused by viruses and spyware. You can definitely eliminate these threats by installing a powerful software that will keep the weakest part of your PC secured from even the most damaging attacks online: your windows registry. Nothing can be more effective than employing this immediate measure that will keep your computers secured from any harmful attacks, thereby keeping it clean and fast so that there will be no more slow internet connection problems ever to bother you again.

When the World Wide Web first made its way into living rooms and business offices across the globe, users were content with simply logging on and surfing the web. It did not matter how long it took for that internet connection to be established. Users would wait a great deal of time just to see a funny video or hear their favorite song play. As time went by and the interest in what the internet had to offer expanded, users became fed up with slow connection times. This brought the development of cable and DSL internet connections in an attempt to speed things up a bit.

For a short time, users were satisfied with these new connection options. After a while though, these too began to fade. Users went on a quest for an internet connection that would come in the blink of an eye. In an ideal world, there would be no long wait times. Only the click of a mouse would be needed and a crystal clear webpage image would be displayed before a user could even take a sip of coffee.

Satellite Connection

That time has now arrived with the development of satellite internet connections. This form of internet connection goes one step further than cable or DSL. It operates in much the same way as a television satellite connection does. A computer is connected to the satellite receiver placed on the roof of a residential home or business office. From that point the satellite sends a signal to the desired webpage and displays that information on the computer screen in a matter of seconds.

HughesNet Satellite Internet is making this revolutionary internet connection possible on a daily basis. In many cases there is no extra equipment that must be purchased in order to establish a satellite internet connection. A user simply needs a computer and a satellite dish receiver. The rest of the internet connection is taken care of by a skilled technician. These technicians will come out and install all the necessary equipment and establish the link between the computer and the satellite receiver. Once those components are in place, the user is free to surf the internet.

Benefits

There are numerous benefits to running a satellite internet connection. That is why HughesNet goes the extra mile to ensure quality customer service occurs on each and every installation. With a quality product installed and functioning correctly, users are relived of the common hassles that can be found with other internet connection types once a technician leaves the home or business.

One of the greatest benefits for this type of internet connection is the ease of use. It is fully compatible with both the Windows and Macintosh operating systems. There is no need for additional software to be downloaded in order to make it functional. Once the technician has installed all the necessary components, the computer operating system recognizes it as the primary internet connection and no additional user input is needed.

Another great benefit is the flexibility that this type of connection offers. Given that the connection is established across satellite receivers, there is no need for a telephone line or cable line connection. That gives users the flexibility to handle phone calls or watch their favorite television program without fear of interrupting their internet connection. It also provides the option for users to not install a home telephone line if they desire. Location of the computer in a home or office is flexible as well. There is no need to design computer space around that phone jack or cable line hook-up.

Service areas are virtually unlimited. Satellite internet connections can go where cable and DSL connections simply can not venture. This expands service areas to include users who may live in rural communities but still desire an internet connection. Connection speeds are quicker than other internet options as well. Users will enjoy faster download times of their favorite videos, music and online games.

Conclusion

With no need to log onto an account each time a connection to the internet is desired, user possibilities are endless. Satellite receiver connections eliminate the need to wait for an available phone line or rearrange a computer workspace around a cable line hookup. Hughes Net is working hard to bring web pages to computer screens faster than ever before.

Connect Your Entire LAN to the Internet with a Single IP Address Simply and Securely.

If you want to connect a local area network (LAN) in your office to the Internet today, you have a number of options to choose from. The simplest is to buy a small stand-alone router or gateway. These devices are inexpensive, reliable and mostly plug-and-play. If you know what you’re doing, you can configure a router and network in less than an hour. However, this might not be your best choice.

There are significant reasons why a router is not the best solution. How secure does your data need to be? Do you need (or would like) to know exactly how much Internet traffic each of your PCs consumes? Do you have priority traffic that must get through? Do you have employees that might be using the Internet for purposes other than work?

A simple hardware gateway will not satisfy these conditions. You could invest a small fortune for a sophisticated device that would satisfy some of these and still not have the optimum solution.

An alternative to expensive hardware is setting up a dedicated computer to control Internet access and connectivity. In this case, your choice is economically limited to one of two platforms: *nix or Windows. While *nix (Unix, Linux, FreeBSD, etc) is technically terrific for the task, it is not as cost effective in a typical company with a multitude of Windows PCs. A *nix system bears a very important drawback: you will either have to hire a system administrator to manage it, or be unable to fine-tune Internet access and constantly risk network failure.

Using a dedicated Windows PC to control how your LAN users access the Internet is the only remaining choice.

While Windows itself provides a limited set of basic connectivity features, you will need to purchase and set up dedicated gateway server software to use advanced features. UserGate 4.1 by Entensys is a proxy server for Windows that is not only the simplest gateway server to configure and use, but also has all the advanced features your company may require.

There are two ways UserGate can share an Internet connection among your LAN users. One way is to configure it as a gateway, very similar to stand-alone hardware routers. UserGate supports NAT and port mapping in order to share a single IP address between multiple LAN users. Using NAT requires no additional configuration on client computers, and is the fastest way to set up Internet access.

If you want more advanced features such as caching your Internet connections, you can set up a User Gate Proxy Server. The proxy server automatically caches the web resources your LAN users access most often, saving significant Internet bandwidth and seriously increasing access speeds.

There is no way for your LAN users to bypass UserGate to access the Internet, so you can create powerful rules to control user access to certain resources or protocols.

You can also set up content filtering to block unwanted Web sites, resources, or specific file extensions (such as MP3 music).

Your LAN is always protected from external attacks by UserGate’s built-in firewall. The built-in anti-virus quickly scans all Internet traffic to protect your network from spyware, viruses and malicious software.

If you have different kinds of traffic, such as VoIP, you can easily limit the maximum bandwidth for every user in order to ensure that time-sensitive clients get the necessary bandwidth. You can also limit the connection speed for any network user and can control the maximum load of your Internet connection.

UserGate keeps complete statistics on every LAN user, including the list of visited URLs and their online time.

Its built-in billing makes UserGate a perfect solution for splitting a single Internet connection between several users.

The latest version adds VPN support, providing the same connection sharing and statistics features for private and public networks. Support of VPN and transparent proxy makes UserGate a perfect solution for safe and secure Internet connection sharing.

UserGate is powerful, user-friendly and simple to use. Download your free evaluation version at: http://www.entensys.com/

When you are stuck using dialup, you may be having some issues with a slow running Internet connection. You know the type, slow downloads, slow connect, slow to open even the simplest website, and all of the fun things that can go along with dial up. However, you now have a solution, taking advantage of web accelerators.

An Internet accelerator has been designed to speed up the process of downloading images and media over a dialup connection. It does this with a compression technology. The accelerator will actually compress all data and files, which means that your websites will now load a faster rate. This is particularly useful when you visit the same sites repeatedly, because most accelerators have a save feature that allows you to keep something similar to a copy of the website to download faster the very next time you need to access the website.

Below are some of the major benefits that you can have just by using Internet accelerators.

Faster Than Standard Dialup

Thanks to the compression feature, web accelerators have the capabilities of pushing your dialup connection to its limit. Giving you the fastest possible connection over dialup, faster than you ever thought possible. Some areas still have not moved into the technology of broadband or faster types of Internet connection, therefore, they have no other option than to use dialup. If you must use dialup, why not use the fastest dialup possible with a web accelerator.

Cheaper Than Other Options

Even if you live in an area with DSL, Cable, or wireless capabilities, these options can really start to put a dent in your checkbook. If you are on a budget and simply cannot afford these higher speed connections, dial up with an Internet accelerator may be the right option for you. You can still access your favorite Internet sites for less money than those using cable or DSL and still faster than those using standard dial up without any type of accelerator.

Has Now Become A Standard Dial Up Feature

Many dial up companies are now offering Internet accelerators as part of their standard packages. In some cases, it may be the same price as the dial up package or you may have to pay a small additional fee to get the accelerator, but it worth the small fees charged by dial up companies. You can optimize your dial-up modem as far and as fast as it could possibly go, without having to spend a small fortune to get it. It Just Make Sense

It just makes sense to use web accelerators with your dial up Internet connection. You will love the added speed, the added support, and the added time it gives you. Generally, you have to wait forever for your dial up connection to bring up your favorite websites, now you can load them in half the time, which mean have the wait. Get started with faster dial up right now.

If you need high internet speed for your office, one of the best things to do is research. You can find a T1 Internet Connection that will ensure that you have high speed internet. Luckily, most service providers are willing to throw in a t1 router valued from $750 to $3,000 with your new service contract. You can do some online comparison pricing if you want to make sure that you have the best high speed internet t1.

If you are in the market for a new T1 internet provider you should be able to get a router with your service. If the provider does not offer this service do not be afraid to ask for it and if they do offer it make sure you get the best router possible.

The best way to ensure that you aren’t leaving anything on the table is use a broker who knows the service providers and knows how to get you as much as possible.

Providers have become extremely competitive and one of the ways they are trying to attract customers is by making the start-up process as simple as possible. Service providers have tried many different methods of attracting customers and simplifying the start-up process.

Credit checks have been simplified, application paperwork been reduced in size, and there are increasingly discounts available for new customers. The free router when from a special promotion offered to increase month end sales to becoming a standard part of the product offering. It is now the exception to the norm to find providers that do not offer a router with their service.

In a buyers market remember that you can push and probably get concessions from the carrier but also remember that all carriers are not created equally. Several carriers might appear to offer a bargain price but you may be several hops from the internet and have a problem with latency. You may also be using a small carrier that hasn’t actually checked the capacity of the CO before you sign your contract and can’t even deliver the service they promised.

The only way that you will discover this is when you start using your connection and find that at peak traffic times your connection is bogged down at a level below that which was guaranteed. An additional advantage is that you will have the peace of mind knowing that you have an SLA and the company will deliver what you believe you will get.

If you are in the market of a DS3, communications are vital to your company. You should make sure you get both a reliable product and the price that you are looking for.

I am addicted to the Internet. I am a busy working parent and still I find the time to check my e-mail, chat with my friends in Yahoo Instant Messenger, read news, forums and on and on.

I need “to know” and I need “to have” more than ever before. I want to get my latest news. I want to spread the news to my on-line and off-line friends, who, I might add, are doing exactly the same. I need to get a new book or … shoes or … gadget just because it is there and easy to buy, no need to drive and look for parking at the mall. Don’t you love these FREE shipping offers? All this is in addition to already being entertained on the Internet watching YouTube, listening to iTunes etc. Do you do the same?

It is not hard to find out if you’re addicted to the Internet. Do you find that when you get online you’re frequently surprised by the amount of time that has passed? Do you find yourself staying home instead of enjoying a beautiful day outside because you’d rather use the Internet?

A recent study from Stanford University School of Medicine found that more than one in eight Americans show signs that they could be suffering from some form of internet addiction.

How do you cure this problem? Google “Internet Addiction” and log on to a bunch of websites? Instant Message other sufferers? Join an Internet support group? Or buy self-help books from our favorite on-line store (after performing an extensive price comparison)? You might as well offer a drink to an alcoholic trying to cure his addiction.

In China, parents send their children as young as 12 to the first officially licensed clinic for Internet addiction at the Beijing Military Region Central Hospital. That is after their kids skip school to spend time playing online games and visiting chat rooms. These kids are admitted suffering from depression, nervousness, panic, fear, agitation, unwillingness to interact with others, sleep disorders, the shakes and numbness in their hands. The daily schedule at the center begins at 6 a.m. and includes electric shock treatment and the administration of intravenous drips to “adjust the unbalanced status of brain secretions”.

This sounds a little extreme to me. How about a gentler American way of approaching this problem? How about using a new high-tech device called SnoopStick?

SnoopStick is a very small USB flash drive device that will allow someone to fully monitor and limit your access to the Internet from any other computer on the Internet. Just run the set-up program on your computer then unplug the device and give it to your trusted friend. Your friend will plug Snoop Stick to any Windows-based computer (in her home or office) and at any time will be able to monitor your Internet use and disable your access to the Internet if needed. You can also specify the times when you will be able to access Internet and SnoopStick will enforce this schedule.

Stay aware, alert, and in control of your Internet with Snoop Stick.

While living in Ukraine, music was Milana Leshinsky’s life. But when she moved to the United States in 1992 and discovered the world of Internet marketing, Milana started singing to a different tune. By launching an Internet-based venture, she reinvented herself as a successful entrepreneur, author, and advisor to life and business coaches.

That is why Milana is featured, along with other successful, self-employed entrepreneurs, in a new book, “The Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing on the Internet” by Robert Skrob and Bob Regnerus. The book, out in September 2008, is the sequel to last year’s “The Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing.” Milana’s transition from music to an Internet info-marketer began when she started doing web design for an insurance company and a newspaper. But it was only after Milana was hired by coaches to develop their websites that the budding entrepreneur started to hit high notes.

“At first, I didn’t even know what a â??coach’ was,” Milana admits. “But after a third time a coach came to me for a website, I took notice and started to investigate this industry.” Milana started a membership site for coaches using all the materials she gathered during her research and her business took off. “One of the clients who hired me to do a website was a coach who asked me to be part of her team,” Milana recalls. “Later, I wrote an e-book, “How to Grow your Coaching Practice on the Internet” and she wrote the foreword for it.

Her partnership gave me a lot of credibility.” Milana’s “doorway into the industry,” however, was a website called Tele-Class.com by the late Thomas Leonard, a key player in the field of personal and business coaching. Milana advertised monthly tele-seminars on this site, eventually creating a membership site and a program called “7Habits of Most Successful Coaches.” “I noticed that successful coaches had products, names for themselves, processes and follow-up sequences,” Milana says.

“So I gathered all of these factors into a program and I coached people who had sites that didn’t generate business. I critiqued the site and worked with the clients to create content to rework it.” Milana had clearly found her niche but, she says, she needed a “breakthrough” to get to the next level of her business. She found it during a mastermind session, “Infopreneur’s Think Tank,” with Sterling Valentine, which led her to telephone based, multi-day events called “tele-summits.” This was the win-win solution not only for Milana, who didn’t like to attend live conferences, but also for her clients, because they had an opportunity to participate in training programs without having to spend time and money to travel.

“With Sterling, I created a global event for coaches,” Milana says. “Before, the word â??tele-summit’ didn’t even exist, so that was my big break.” How big? Milana’s first eight-day tele-summit netted $60,000 – with more to come. “That was huge for me, but the chain reaction happened afterwards,” she reports. However, that chain reaction resulted in Milana’s site being flooded with too many products, so it was hard to market. In fact, websites cluttered with too many graphics and too much useless information are counterproductive, Skrob notes.

“The more choices you put in front of people, the longer it will take them to make a decision and the less likely they are to be happy with the choice they make. When the number of options gets overwhelming, people often respond by making no decision at all.” So Milana hired a consultant who suggested folding all her products into one – a home study course called Coaching Millions, based on her book, “Coaching Millions Business Building System.” The other part of Milana’s venture is her “Coaching Business Mastery,” which includes a home study course and an implementation program. A streamlined landing or opt-in page was essential to Milana’s continued success.

“These pages are the best way to welcome potential customers to your website, and they allow you to establish the right type of relationship with your visitors,” Skrob says. “An effective, well-written landing page builds trust and establishes your credibility. The more visitors you convince to opt in, the more sales you’ll make.”

Melanie Benson Strick is not a doctor, but she specializes in treating a condition she calls the “Bright Shiny Object Syndrome.”

“When you are chasing a new, bright shiny object every day, you’re going to be overwhelmed,” Melanie explains. “When I tell people I have a formula to break free of that syndrome, they get curious and want to go the next step with me.”

And that is how Melanie morphed into an engineer of sorts – she identifies where her clients want to go, and she designs a process to get them there.

Melanie’s creative approach is featured in a new book, “The Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing on the Internet” by Robert Skrob and Bob Regnerus, because she cleverly turned her Internet marketing savvy into a cash cow.

Melanie started out as a trade events organizer and later worked for Motorola, helping the company establish the 9-1-1 call centers. “But I began to look for ways to have more fun,” she recalls. “Lifestyle coaching seemed like an interesting field, where I could use my previous experiences.”

However, Melanie realized she couldn’t just plunge head-on into her new career. “I was pretty naïve to think I could just go out and become a coach because I didn’t know how to pull this together,” she says. “I had no clue how to recruit clients.”

That’s when Melanie turned for help to consultant Alexandria Brown, who has been very successful in her own information marketing business. Alexandria looked at Melanie’s website and offered this assessment: the site, though eye-pleasing, would not attract customers. “She said it was a waste of space on the Internet because it was not doing anything for me,” Melanie relates.

In fact, websites cluttered with too many graphics and too much useless information is counterproductive, Skrob notes. “The more choices you put in front of people, the longer it will take them to make a decision and the less likely they are to be happy with the choice they make. When the number of options gets really overwhelming, people often respond by making no decision at all. So when it comes to getting responses from your website visitors, ONE is the magic number. When you present your visitors with ONE yes-or-no decision at a time, you’re more likely to get the results you want.”

So Alexandria advised Melanie to restructure her website, adding a landing page that invited visitors to leave their e-mail addresses in exchange for a free report and an assessment of the potential client’s business. The report, which also included a CD and a subscription to an e-zine, helped Melanie connect with people who needed help building their own businesses.

With this new, focused website Melanie hit the jackpot. To attract more clients, she developed different levels at which people could access her information, ranging from a reasonably priced entry level to more elaborate packages. “This way I maximize my conversion of prospects into mentoring clients” she says.

It is no wonder that info-marketers like Melanie and numerous others profiled in the book, a sequel to last year’s “The Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing,” became extraordinarily successful by packaging their expertise and selling it to others. “The development of the Internet has been good for every type of business,” notes Skrob, president of the Tallahassee FL-based Information Marketing Association. “And there has never been a better time to be in the Internet information marketing business because it is responsive to and fueled by the ever-increasing pressure on people’s time.”

The book, out in September 2008, “picks up where the last one ended,” Skrob adds. “The last book taught the big picture business plan; this book shows how to implement that plan on the Internet. If you have an information marketing business now, you can’t afford to miss out on what the Internet has to offer. And if you’re just getting started in information marketing, the Internet will help you make your first sale more quickly and with less risk – just as Melanie did.”
