Being a healthcare employee sure isn’t easy. From long hours on the job to the notion of dealing with perpetual patient demands, working in the medical field can take a toll on even the most motivated of individuals. Throw in local requirements for CE credits, and it’s a formula that’s likely to drive some to leave the industry altogether.
The problem with CE credits in the medical field is that although they can actually end up benefitting workers (and their patients) in the long run, the process of obtaining them can be rather burdensome. This sentiment, for some, holds true when it comes to learning to use healthcare technology. These days, medical professionals have a variety of new and exciting tools at their disposal, from EHRs to remote monitoring devices. The problem, however, is that when it comes to healthcare technology training, employees tend to rebel, if not outwardly then at least internally. And when it comes to these types of initiatives, a bad attitude can render the training process relatively useless.
